ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Happy Spirit Week Squires! I hope everyone is enjoying pajama day! Tomorrow is Decades day, so dress up from your favorite time period! Don’t forget to stop by our student council table outside the cafeteria at lunch and enter in the drawing for a prize!

This year’s Red Ribbon Week theme is Life is a Movie Film Drug-Free. The theme is a call to action to speak out in support of healthy choices. It also serves as a reminder that we are all empowered with shaping the communities around us through positivity, bravery, and strength. Did you know that teens who abuse drugs are more likely to struggle with addiction later in life and have permanent and irreversible brain damage? This is because during adolescence your brain is going through critical periods of learning and growth. By saying no to alcohol, nicotine, and other drugs, you are protecting your brain and saying yes to your health! Leave drugs in the past, dress in your favorite decade tomorrow.

8TH GRADERS: The Early College and Career Stem Program and JROTC will hold information sessions on October 29th. You may attend from 5:30-7:00 pm at Lincoln Northeast High School. Address is 2635 N 63rd Street.
