ANNOUNCEMENTS: 

LPS Student Vote will take place next Wednesday, October 30th, for all students in grades 4-12. At Pound, Social Studies and Humanities teachers will be discussing it in their classes. Mrs. David is looking for student volunteers to serve as election commissioners and help create posters for the event. If you are interested in making a poster, please stop by room 217 today after school to assist until 3:30pm.

STUDENT EQUITY COMMITTEE: Are you or a friend passionate about equity or social justice and want to make a difference at Pound? The Pound Student Equity Committee is a leadership group that will meet regularly throughout the year to learn and discuss equitable outcomes for all students. You can nominate yourself or a friend/peer that you think would be a leader in this area. 6th grade has many open spots but students from other grades may be nominated. Staff members can also submit nominations using the jump code: YHRI. Nominations are due TOMORROW, Thursday Oct 24th.
