ANNOUNCEMENTS:

CONGRATULATIONS TO 6TH GRADE! Your grade brought in the most food for our food drive.  There will be a reward for your grade coming soon!  Thank you to all students in all grades that participated in the food drive! 

WAY TWO GO POUND!!!  In a single day, Pound students, staff and families raised $2,378.71 for the Food Bank of Lincoln Backpack program! TWO-gether, we exceeded our goal of $2,222!!!  Whether you donated two cents, $2, $22 or $222, your generosity will help provide food-filled backpacks for elementary aged students and food markets for middle and high school students and families.  Thank you to all 2nd period classes who participated.  Here are the top three 2nd period classes: 

3rd place:  Mr. Ivanov’s class: $252

2nd place:  Mrs. Miller (FCS) class $262.20

1st place:  Mrs. Thorne’s class $268.63

Stay “TWOned” for which teachers will receive a pie in the face in the weeks to come!  If you missed yesterday, donations are still welcome, just bring them to the office please.

DESIGN A POUND T-SHIRT! Do you think you can come up with a better T-shirt design than 7 other students? Then be sure to submit your T-shirt design for next year’s T-shirt to be sold online and in the Pound store with the theme #SquireStrong . Use the LPS Jump code  OTPA  and remember only one submission per student. Submissions should be in the form of a PDF and be turned in by THIS FRIDAY Feb 25th. Student Council and Pound Pals will each get to cast their vote on the winning design. See Mrs. Slonecker or Mrs. Rix if you have questions.

MEDIA CENTER: The Library is open for all lunches & recess today! 

LIBRARY: Did you get a blind book date from the library? If so, don’t forget to rate your book for a prize! We have extra rate slips in the library if you lost yours!
