Online Registration Open July 23 – Aug 30

We have important news to share with you regarding the process of how you will validate and update your family’s information at Pound. Our school has been chosen to use a new way to complete this process for the 2018-19 school year. This new process will be implemented at all LPS schools during the 2019-20 school year.

In the past, you may remember filling out a paper form that was given to you that included contact information, emergency contact information, field trip and photo permissions. Starting Monday, July 23, Pound families will use an online form – through your Lincoln Public Schools ParentVue account – to complete the same process.  We’re confident you will find this new online process – through ParentVue – easy to use and more efficient than the paper form.

ParentVUE is a secure, private website that allows parents and guardians easy access to their students’ up-to-date information. In addition to the online registration portion, you will be able to track attendance, see class websites, view report cards, and access Special Education documents. Each parent or guardian with educational rights for the child is assigned an individual ParentVUE account.

What you need to do:

  • If you already have a ParentVue account, simply go to this webpage any time between now and August 30 and follow the instructions on the screen.
  • If you need to sign up for a ParentVue account first, please use this guide and follow the step-by-step instructions. All households must have at least one adult with a ParentVue account. Then you can go to this webpage any time between now and August 30 and follow the instructions on the screen.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Pound registrar at 402-436-1217 opt 3. There will also be computer kiosks at our schedule pick up days on Aug 1 & 2 so you can sign up at that time, as well.

Please note: You must have your online census form updated by August 30. If you have other children that attend schools other than Pound, you will need to fill out the paper form for that school and return it to that school’s staff.

Thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to seeing you soon!

Any Pound Pal who missed training, please come to our first meeting after school tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct 2.  We will train you there.

The enchanted book fair came and it went…things are pretty much back to normal, not quite so enchanted….but what about the penny war you say…oh yeah…the penny war….there was that thing about one grade winning a movie…oh yeah, now I remember….and HERE’S the secret sealed envelope that discloses the grade that WON THE PENNY WAR. Hmmm…and the winner of the penny war is…..7TH GRADE!!! They did it!! After not winning for several years…they made a comeback! A huge thanks to all of us who raised this money so many kids who otherwise wouldn’t be able to make a purchase at the book fair could do so! Way to go Pound staff and students!

Book Fair poster winners are now posted on the main office window and outside the media center. If you won a poster at the book fair, come and pick it up after school. Be listening for other book fair winners this week!

Don’t forget to get your permission form for Sower Squad in the library! Join the club, read the book & earn BOGO bucks to spend at the “Buy One Get One Free” book fair in the spring!

If we ordered a book for you from the book fair last week, please stop by the media center.
