8th Grade Students – High School informational meeting today at North Star High School at 6:30 p.m.  These meetings are designed for 8th grade students and parents to meet with counselors and instructional staff to learn about the opportunities available at that school.

 

6th-8th grade boys are invited to attend the Lincoln East Future Spartan Basketball Night on Friday, Feb. 2.  If you are interested, stop by the main office and pick up a registration form.

 

8th Graders:  Make sure to check to see what High School you are set to attend on the board by the Counseling Center.  If you want to go to a different high school than what is listed you need to fill out a High School choice form and have it turned into the Counseling Center by January 31st.  You do not need to fill out a form if the board is correct.

 

The LPS Oral Spelling Bee will be Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Culler Middle School. The Spelling Bee is open to students in grades 5-8. More information is available in the main office or from your English teacher.  Information is also available in the Parent Center on the LPS website.

8th Grade Students – High School informational meeting this week is Thursday at North Star High School at 6:30 p.m.  Lincoln Southeast High School meeting is rescheduled for next Wednesday, January 24th at 6:30pm.  These meetings are designed for 8th grade students and parents to meet with counselors and instructional staff to learn about the opportunities available at that school.

Bags for a Bench Brigade needs volunteers!  We have 545 pounds of plastic bags that will be picked up by 3 HyVee vans tomorrow, Thursday, Jan. 18 at 3:30.  Mrs. Brown is looking for 10-15 staff or student volunteers.  Let Mrs. Brown know if you can help out.  She will share extra details. We are still collecting bags, keep those bags coming!

Reminder to students:  During winter months after a snowstorm, custodians will be working to clear the sidewalks of snow and ice.  For safety’s sake, be sure and keep a safe distance from anyone shoveling or using a snow blower to clear the sidewalks.  As always, be safe!
