This Friday is the first Movie Night of the year! Showing on the big screen in the Pound Theatre (a.k.a. auditorium) right after school is….MONSTER HOUSE! Tickets are $5 OR only $3 if you bring a 2-liter beverage or 6-pk of bottled water to share. Cost includes popcorn, snacks & a drink. Permission forms are due Wed. Get one in the library and return it to the library with your payment (& possibly beverage). Bottom line: Movie is Friday. Permission forms should be picked up TODAY in the library. Completed permission forms and payments need to be turned in to the library by Wednesday.
The library is open during 1st & 2nd lunches today for anyone who has NOT yet been down to do QUICK CRAFTS for Halloween.
We begin celebrating Red Ribbon Week at Pound Middle School today! Did you know that on March 9, 1985, hundreds of law enforcement officers gathered in California to pay their last respects to a Drug Enforcement Administration agent who was brutally murdered by drug traffickers in Guadalajara, Mexico. At the same time, residents in a small Florida community began a demonstration of their respect of the drug enforcement agent’s courage. Demonstrations soon began all over the nation. They displayed red ribbons. This was the beginning of what we still celebrate today – – – – – RED RIBBON WEEK! Your Future is Key, So Stay Drug Free!
