ANNOUNCEMENTS: 

SPELLING BEE: It’s not too late to sign up for the 35th Annual LPS Spelling Bee!  All middle school students are welcome to participate.  See your Humanities or English teachers to get the registration form. The competition is on Saturday, February 4, and registration is due on January 28.  

SWEETS!The Pound PTO invites you to support the PTO by buying a tasty treat at Butterfly Bakery (4209 S. 33rd) this Saturday from 7am-2pm.  Make sure to mention you are with Pound Middle School when you order and pay.  

1ST SEM. STS STUDENTS: If you have a project to pick up, or one to finish, stop by before or after school to see Mr. Skiles before Friday.

8TH GRADERS: We strongly encourage you to attend the meeting for the high school you will be attending next fall.  If you are trying to decide which school to attend, you can go to the meetings at all the schools you’re considering. All meetings start at 6:30 pm.

If you choose to attend a school that is not your home high school, you need to complete a High School Choice form. The deadline is January 31st.  Forms are located on lps.org.

MEDIA CENTER: The Library is closed for lunch & recess all week except Friday. 

CLUBS TODAY: Dance in the Cafeteria and Pokemon in room 237.

CLUBS TOMORROW: 6th Grade Sports, Friday Fun Club, and Ukulele & Guitar
