ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Friday: We are having a Yellow / Gold out! The international awareness symbol for Childhood Cancer is the gold ribbon.  Unlike other cancer awareness ribbons, which focus on a singular type of cancer, the gold ribbon is a symbol for all forms of cancer affecting children and adolescents.  We even have students at Pound that either are fighting or have fought a type of childhood cancer. Show your support by wearing yellow or gold this Friday!

FRIDAY: The Pound Store will be open again this Friday after school in the Cafeteria.

8th GRADERS: The Career Academy (TCA) is hosting an Open House for 8-12th graders and their parents to learn more about top career options when you graduate high school. Experience the hands-on learning available at TCA and how to “test drive” your future as a TCA student in one of 14 career pathways. Attend the TCA Open House anytime between 1-3 PM on Sunday, October 24 at 8800 O Street. Meet TCA students and instructors and see how “doing high school differently” can make a huge difference in your future success. Stop by the Counseling Center for a flyer. We hope to see you there!

MEDIA CENTER:  The Library is only open for 8th-grade lunch/recess today! Bring your cold lunch or get a recess pass from the cafeteria.

CLUBS: No clubs today

Clubs tomorrow: Anime for 7th and 8th, Coloring, and Board Games
