TOMORROW’S CLUBS are DIY Club in Room 136 – Mrs. Spader, Magic the Gathering in Room 134 – Mr. Fleming, Sew Craze in Room 108 – Mrs. Harris and Homework Club 6th: 224, 7th: 212, 8th: 214
In Pound sports action from last weekend:
-The soccer team played hard in a defeat against Goodrich
-In 7th grade volleyball, the A TEAM & C TEAM both won and B TEAM played well but lost
-The 8th grade volleyball results were: A & B TEAMS both were victorious and the C TEAM suffered defeat
-In Boys Cross Country: The Pound boys finished 5th in the city. Top Ten finishers for the boys: Sam Antinoro 2nd and Carson Catheral 5th out of 173 runners
-And last but not least, the Girls Cross Country City Champs are the Pound Squires! Top Ten finishers for the girls: Jordyn Wissing 4th but #1 7th grade runner and Peyton Svela 5th but #2 7th grade runner Way to go City Champs!
The coaches appreciate all the hard work and effort from our athletes this early fall season!
The 7th and 8th grade A TEAM volleyball teams will be in action at Lincoln Northeast High School this Saturday. Both teams play at 9:15. Students and Staff are welcome to come support our Squires. The concession stand will be open too. Admission is free.
7th & 8th grade girls: Girls Basketball sign up will be TODAY in the cafeteria. All you will do is a grab a red card to be filled out by your parents before tryouts and sign the roster. Tryouts will be Thurs.10/4 and Fri. 10/5 from 3:10-4:30. Please plan to attend both days of tryouts. Practices will begin next week. See Mr. Siedel in rm #220 if you miss sign ups after school.
7th & 8th graders: Wrestling sign up will be TODAY in the cafeteria.. All you will do is a grab a red card to be filled out by your parents before practice begins and sign the roster. Wrestling practice will begin Mon. 10/8 and run from 3:10-4:30 every day. See Mr. Siedel in rm #220 if you miss sign ups after school.
Student Council will meet Thursday, October 4, after school from 3:00 to 4:00 in the cafeteria. All members should plan to attend, plan rides accordingly. Please see Mrs. Kerns in Room 235 with any questions.
Remember picture retakes are this Friday, Oct. 5th. Any student who was absent on August 24th or has enrolled at Pound since that date will get a picture taken. If you bought a packet but didn’t like your picture, bring the picture packet with you on Friday and give it to the photographer. If you want to order pictures you can stop by the office and get an envelope to order pictures or you can order online through mylifetouch.com
