Today is a Y day

TODAY’S CLUBS are DIY Club in Room 136 (Ms. Spader’s Room), Pinterest Club in the Media Center and Pokemon Club in Room 122 (Mrs. Bridger’s Room)

**Reminder about clubs: Students, please remember you should only write your own name, no one else’s, on the club sign-up sheets in the cafeteria. Pay attention to club information- some clubs are only open to certain grades. If you can’t make a club, cross your name off the list to allow other people to sign up. Thanks!

On September 17, 1787, the 55 delegates to the Constitutional Convention held their final meeting to sign the Constitution.  This week in social studies and 6th grade science, all students will be learning about the importance of this document. As part of the celebration, five $5 gift card will be given away to winners of a Constitution trivia contest.

Today’s Constitution trivia question is: Who was called the “Sage of the Constitutional Convention”?  Write your name and answer on a sheet of paper and give it to Mrs. Patterson, Room 204 before 2:58. You could win a $5 gift certificate to Barnes & Noble.

Media Center is closed at 3:10 today

It’s PIP day in the library during all 3 lunches today! What’s PIP you say? Isn’t it obvious…it’s Pop In for Popcorn. Eat quickly, get a pass, and head down to munch on some popcorn with friends while playing Would You Rather! Only 25 people per lunch can come down, so eat quickly!

Returning Pound Pals, don’t forget!  We have scheduled the Returning Pound Pals Workshop for Thursday, September 14th from 3:05-4:00 pm in the auditorium.  It is our major meeting for the year and the training is required for returning Pound Pal members.  See your counselor if you have a problem with making this meeting.

Are you good with math?…or better yet, do you want to be better?  Try out Pound’s award winning Math Club.  It begins TODAY in Room 211 right after school until 4:00 p.m. Please arrange rides accordingly.

Pound PTO meets tomorrow from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Pound cafeteria.  All interested parents are invited to attend.
